Exit to the right: Is academia losing its talents?

Annual Event of the PostDoc Office 2023

04.05.2023
17:00 - 19:30

Postdoctoral researchers are productive, innovative and a key factor for the research output of universities. This notwithstanding, their living and working conditions are often described as precarious. Rather than pursuing a career within academia, many researchers (have to) decide to bring their talents to the non-university sector. The PostDoc Office Annual Event explores how an environment in which researchers can thrive and do their best work can be created. Presentations and discussions will bring in perspectives from academics, career coaching professionals, university leadership, activism for better working conditions, and industry best practices. There will be space for an open exchange, food & drinks will be provided throughout. Register until April 27, 2023, via postdoc@uni-graz.at.
