Career Development
In addition to research and teaching, the academic career portfolio also includes the acquisition of third-party funding, academic management, leadership, committee work and (international) cooperation. One's own development in these areas takes place in the PostDoc phase - depending on the kind of job it happens within the tasks of a PostDoc position, but also through further training. The expansion of skills that are necessary for a successful research career also gives PostDocs the opportunity to help shape many other areas of society.
