Results of the third RCC Grant Round are in!

On Mar 18, 2026, the selection committee met for the third time since establishment of the Research Careers Campus to select grantees for our various micro funding schemes for researchers of all career stages, and for doctoral groups.

This time we received three times as many applications as in previous rounds, so we took more time to deliberate.

We were able to award grants to 74 applicants. We congratulate all awardees, and we wish them much success with their work!

The Grants went to fields such as:

  • Molecular Biosciences
  • Southeast European Studies
  • Mathematics and Scientifics Computing
  • Philosophy
  • Cultural Anthropology
  • Sports and Movement Science
  • Systematic Theology
  • Geography and Regional Sciences
  • Law and Politics
  • Astrophysics
  • and more!

Grantees will use the funds:

  • to host events with international researchers in Graz
  • to present their research to colleagues and conduct research activities abroad (such as in Tokyo, New York, Munich, Catania, Christchurch, Galveston, Milan, Porto, Jyväskylä)
  • and to work torwards successful funding proposals.

With the micro-grants, the RCC aims to support researchers of all career stages to stay connected and visible, and to enable them to enhance their research activities.

Eligible are 1) employees in research contracts and 2) researchers enrolled in a doctoral degree at the University of Graz.

Applications for RCC Grants can be made on an ongoing basis, the next committee meeting selecting grantees will be in mid-July (deadline Jul 15). Full info: https://research-careers-campus.uni-graz.at/de/services-funding/finanzielle-foerderungen/
