Boosting writing projects

Before the start of the semester, 15 postdoctoral researchers retreated to the Styrian countryside to work on publications and grant proposals. The three-day programme was led by psychologist, researcher, and writing expert Gayannée Kedia. It consisted of a mix of writing sessions, individual coaching by the trainer, as well as inputs on improving the process. To ensure maximum focus, all meals were provided, and participants took the opportunity for walks, yoga sessions and cold baths in the river. This allowed many to boost their productivity and „write more than I did in the last months“. The trainer was impressed by the projects, professional backgrounds and community feeling of this interdisciplinary and very international group. The PostDoc Office is very happy that the University of Graz was able show its appreciation of our postdoctoral researchers by funding and organizing this event! We hope the 2023 retreat will be equally successful!
