Come to Graz as a MSCA fellow

Photo Schreibretreat, Bahnhof, Stadlbauer

Join the Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship applicant workshop in June

Would you consider working at University of Graz? That means: PostDoc Pizza, writing retreats, Fiasco Fests, supervisory-skills-retreat, funding for career coachings and mobilities, and more!

One way to do it: Apply for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions fellowship! The fellowship provides you with a working contract for 12 – 24 months at the host institution and extra funding for your mobility, family and training costs. Uni Graz supports applicants with a tailor-made workshop on Jun 16-17, 2026, travel grants for which are now available!

  • Here is what is on offer to make it more likely that you will come and work with us:
  • MSCA spring workshop in Graz: Applicants will be supported in creating convincing proposals & finding an academic host here, Uni Graz will reimburse costs associated with travelling to the workshop (up to 600€).
  • The University of Graz Seal-of-Excellence Positions: up to three applicants whose proposals were rejected but received a Seal of Excellence (score min. 85%) receive a temporary PostDoc position for resubmission. That way you can resubmit and have no gap of employment till you can (hopefully) start your fellowship a year later!
  • All you need is here: https://forschungsmanagement.uni-graz.at/en/msca-postdoctoral-fellowship-at-uni-graz/ and Harald Kleinberger-Pierer is available for your questions!
  • You are eligible if have not lived in Austria for over 12 months in the past 3 years prior to the deadline (September 9, 2026)
