PostDocs on Tour

Schladming: Canva-Design, Stadlbauer

The Writing Retreat in Schladming has started!

With a research paper, you are taking readers on a journey through your research question, hypotheses, methods, findings, and their implications, says Gayannee Kedia on her writing blog.

This autumn, 15 researchers from Graz are themselves taking a journey, with the goal to create magnificent research papers, project proposals, and book chapters….: The PostDoc Office Writing Retreat has started on September 21, 2023! The Styrian town of Schladming will have some interesting visitors for three days. Psychologists, legal scholars, climate change researchers, philosophers, molecular biologists, sociologists and more fascinating researchers will use the wonderful environment to do three days of intensive writing.

The three-day programme is led by psychologist, researcher, and writing expert Gayannée Kedia and consists of a mix of writing sessions, individual coaching by the trainer, as well as sufficient breaks to keep up focus. All meals are provided, and participants have the opportunity for walks, yoga sessions and even visits in the hotel sauna/pool.

We’re looking forward to hearing what the group will accomplish during these days, and we are sure that being sourrounded by nature, lovely food, and great company will inspire everyone to do wonderful work and recharge before the start of the semester.

This retreat is offered yearly, the next chance to register will be in June 2024, with the retreat taking place in September. To keep up the writing flow for the rest of the year, there is an open group every Friday, at the PostDoc Office and online (starts 9AM).
