Submit your MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship proposal with University of Graz as host! We offer extensive support in preparing an excellent proposal, as well as seal-of-excellence positions. What is it?

  • MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships enhance the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a PhD and who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility.
  • MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships will be open to excellent researchers of any nationality, and also encourages researchers to work on research and innovation projects in the non-academic sector.
  • Timeline is as follows, according to European Commission:
    • 9 April 2025: Launch of the call for proposals
    • 10 September 2025: Deadline for submitting proposals
    • February 2026: Notification of call results to applicants (TBC)
    • April 2026: First projects start (TBC)

 

What do we offer?

  • University of Graz invites researchers to a two-day intensive MSCA workshop on 26-27th May 2025 (travel costs can be reimbursed).
  • We will fund up to three applicants that got rejected but received a Seal of Excellence (score min. 85%) with a temporary PostDoc position for resubmission.
  • We support with search for mentors, expert information about this funding scheme, extensive proposal checks, and more.

 

Who is eligible for submitting at University of Graz?

  • You have not lived in Austria for over 12 months in the past 3 years prior to the deadline (10th September 2025)
  • You have successfully defended your PhD at the call deadline (10th September 2025) and not more than 8 years of fulltime equivalent in research since the PhD, with few exceptions.
  • You have approval of a mentor from our institution.
