Open Science is a policy issue influencing the European research area and the governance of our university, it is a concern in research data management, in the use of methods, it is relevant when you publish, and also in the evaluation of research. A collaboration between SIS-Idea-Lab, Doctoral Academy and the PostDoc Office brought together an expert panel to address these dimensions and more:
Hildrun Walter, a scientist at the Center for Society, Science and Communication: “Die 7. fakultät” of the University of Graz and co-leader of the Arqus Openness Task Force, Christian Kaier, a scholarly communications librarian who supports researchers of our university on issues pertaining to scholarly publishing, with a focus on Open Access, Open Science and publication funding, Hilmar Brohmer, a postdoctoral researcher in Social Psychology and contact person of the Graz Open Science Initiative (GOSI), and Michalis Tzatzanis from the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG/EIP, an NCP and expert on the perspective of funding agencies and evaluation of research proposals
In the spirit of openness, we share materials prepared & relevant to the June 22 meeting here:
