This workshop will help you to map the skills you acquired during your research career that are useful for careers beynd academia, and learn to make them explicit to others during an application process.

About the trainer: Alexander Knapp has been working at the technology transfer office of the University of Innsbruck since 2016. He supports researchers in improving their entrepreneurial career and in commercializing their ideas in their own start-up company. Alexander Knapp studied water and civil engineering at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences of Vienna and at the Technical University of Berlin. He gained his first working experience in quality and environmental management, in natural hazard planning and in ski resorts planning. From 2009 to 2016 Alexander Knapp worked as a project manager in various applied environmental research projects at the Institute of Microbiology at the University of Innsbruck. In 2014 he was co-founder of the BiotreaT GmbH, an University of Innsbruck spin-off company for environmental engineering. Alexander Knapp is also active in the organizing team of the PhD and Postdoc Society in Innsbruck.
