Why do you need networking in academia? And what can you expect from which relationships? On April 29, Johanna Stadlbauer of the Research Careers Campus will visit Medizinische Universität Graz' researcher community, thanks to Geraldine Zenz, to explore these questions!
Everyone is invited!
Johanna will investigate her own networking activities and reflect on the impact they had: Starting from her time as a PhD, looking at what changed when she became a postdoc and took up committee leadership roles, and at how she networked her way beyond academia. She'll also reflect on the networking challenges she faces in her role now and share how she approaches them. Apart from that, the talk will contain wisdom from career coaches, and lots of recommended reading, such as from the blogs of Holly Prescott, and Guidance, Skills & Opportunities for Researchers e.V. (GSO). And the participants will collect all the wisdom from the room!
If you're in Graz, come along!
