Behold: The Research Careers Campus Festival 2026!

On April 22 and 23, 2026 the University of Graz will be hosting the inaugural RCC Festival in three locations: at the Aula (university main hall), at Kombüse Graz, and at the Unicorn Start-up & Innovation Hub.

Celebrating a one-year and a 15-year-birthday simultanously, we will explore:

  • the history and future of researcher development at the University of Graz and talent development in Austrian academia
  • how advocacy for a better academia goes together with institutional management and organizational development
  • conditions that allow researchers to be creative
  • the structures we need to replace and build to allow for productive research, and how individuals shape research culture
  • how to build your good academic life through small actions with collective impact

Check out the list of speakers (exact titles and detailed schedule are still developing): research-careers-campus.uni-graz.at/de/veranstaltungen/147144-research-careers-campus-festival/

The international keynote speakers are:

  • Nicole Brown, Steve Joy, and Geraldine Fitzpatrick

Our exciting panelists will come for example from Ljubljana and Vienna:

  • Mostafa Moonir Shawrav, Aleksandra Kanjuo Mrčela, Verena Grubmüller-Régent, Milica Popovic, and Katta Spiel

From the University of Graz we are honored to hear from:

  • Peter Riedler, Mireille van Poppel, Joachim Reidl, Klemens Fellner, Markus Kneer, and Janne Creve

We're looking forward to meeting you there!
